Reading and writing are complementary processesthat can be used to strengthen each other in reciprocal fashion (COI, Writing to Read).First graders need opprotunities to understand how stories are created in order to build skills in understanding text structures. Understanding text structure is critical to build skill in comprehending complex text. The technology-supported activity demonstrated in this activity develops understanding of text structure.
